What are Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions?

Scope 1 is fuel you burn yourself (heating oil, company vehicles). Scope 2 is electricity you buy — in Jersey that uses the local grid factor of 0.0589 kgCO₂e/kWh. Scope 3 is everything else in your value chain: travel, commuting, waste, water and procurement.

What is Eco-Active membership vs leadership?

Accepted Answer

Eco-Active Member is free: complete the gov.je form and set environmental actions. Eco-Active Leader needs a third-party standard such as ISO 14001, B-Corp, or equivalent, plus audit certificates. Both submit an annual return by 31 March.

Question 3

Can I show my carbon numbers on our website?

Accepted Answer

Yes. With active Insights or Business access, the company owner can review and publish an annual carbon snapshot and embed it on a website. Private record changes are included only when the owner publishes an update.

Is 321ZERO only for large organisations?

Accepted Answer

No. The free plan is designed for any Jersey business that wants to replace a spreadsheet and understand its Scope 1 and 2 emissions. Insights adds reporting tools, Business Assisted adds a support-period allowance to prepare reporting with our help, and larger or more complex engagements fit the White Glove managed service.

Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your entries can be downloaded at any time, and the platform can prepare records for Eco-Active annual reporting.
