What are Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions?

Scope 1 is fuel you burn yourself (heating oil, company vehicles). Scope 2 is electricity you buy — in Jersey that uses the grid factor of 0.0441 kgCO₂e/kWh from French nuclear. Scope 3 is everything else in your value chain: travel, commuting, waste, water and procurement.

What is Eco-Active membership vs leadership?

Eco-Active Member is free: complete the gov.je form and set environmental actions. Eco-Active Leader needs a third-party standard such as ISO 14001, B-Corp, or equivalent, plus audit certificates. Both submit an annual return by 31 March.

Can I show my carbon numbers on our website?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Insights and above include a public carbon ticker you can embed on your site and share to social media. It shows your footprint, scopes, tracking streak and a freshness badge. You opt in; nothing is public until you publish.

Question 4

Is 321ZERO only for large organisations?

Accepted Answer

No. The free plan is designed for any Jersey business that wants to replace a spreadsheet and understand its Scope 1 and 2 emissions. Larger and more complex engagements can use the white-glove service.

Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your entries can be downloaded at any time, and the platform can prepare records for Eco-Active annual reporting.
