Scope 1 is fuel you burn yourself (heating oil, company vehicles). Scope 2 is electricity you buy — in Jersey that uses the local grid factor of 0.0589 kgCO₂e/kWh. Scope 3 is everything else in your value chain: travel, commuting, waste, water and procurement. You enter bills; we put each line into the right scope.

Eco-Active Member is free: complete the gov.je form and set environmental actions. Eco-Active Leader needs a third-party standard such as ISO 14001, B-Corp, 5* environmental audit, or equivalent, plus audit certificates. Both levels submit an annual return by 31 March. We produce the emissions data for that return — we do not issue the accreditation itself.

Yes. With active Insights or Business access, the company owner can review and publish an annual carbon snapshot and embed it on a website. Private record changes are included only when the owner publishes an update.

Your electricity bill and any fuel receipts are enough for a useful first picture. Waste, water, travel and purchasing data can be added later.

No. Free lets one person start recording a business’s Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, view its history and download its records. Insights adds the tools to prepare your own reporting. Business Assisted adds a larger team and a quarterly support allowance to prepare reporting with our help. White Glove manages an agreed reporting process for you.

Yes. Downloading your own records as CSV is included in Free. The formatted Eco-Active return is an Insights reporting tool, currently available on Free at no charge. We will give reasonable notice before that changes.

After a scoping conversation, we prepare a custom proposal based on organisations, sites and projects, data volume, complexity, reporting frequency and the human effort involved — not employee count alone. Every inclusion is listed in the proposal before you commit.

Each Business Assisted support period is each successive three-month period beginning on the service activation date. Each period includes one 45-minute scheduled session and up to 45 minutes of asynchronous reporting assistance — checking data completeness and preparing your reporting. It is time to prepare your reporting with our help, not a managed service. Unused allowance does not roll over. Normal support for software faults is not deducted from this allowance. Additional work is agreed before it begins, so there are no surprise charges. You stay responsible for supplying information, approving figures and submitting returns.

Insights and Business Assisted do not include routine data entry, repairing your spreadsheets, bespoke calculations, consultancy, custom reporting or integrations, site visits, or routine O&M evidence extraction. 321ZERO does not provide independent verification, assurance or government approval of your figures — and White Glove does not automatically include those either. Independent assurance or specialist advice may require a separately appointed qualified professional. What we can do is organise your carbon and environmental evidence and prepare reporting material for your approval. Anything beyond the plans is scoped and priced before it starts. Product defects are always handled as normal support.

321ZERO is a calculation and reporting tool, not an audit or verification service. Engage a qualified environmental professional when independent assurance is required. Eco-Active Leader status still needs your own ISO/audit certification from an approved body.
